On Sunday, December 4, 2022, the U.S. Transhumanist Party invites Steele Archer to announce his return to public speaking and his future plans for creating a show that will carry on the vibrant transhumanist online discourse of previous years. We will reflect upon Steele’s previous prolific activity with the Debt Nation show and The Archer Report in 2019-2020 as well as how online discourse and the venues available for it have changed in the ensuing years and what opportunities are available going forward. During 2019-2020, Steele Archer’s shows were the predominant online platforms for transhumanist discourse and news coverage, with hundreds of episodes featuring thinkers within and adjacent to the transhumanist community and detailed, nuanced commentary on current events of relevance to transhumanism. Steele Archer provided in-depth coverage of the U.S. Transhumanist Party’s 2019 Presidential Primary and its aftermath – up to the selection of Charlie Kam as the 2020 Presidential Candidate. He then pursued and completed his postgraduate university studies and now seeks to inspire people to join and collaborate in useful and interesting ways which enhance community and personal engagement with the transhumanist movement. In late September 2022, I participated in a panel discussion on transhumanism, hosted by Dr. Ahmed Bouzid. Joining me were Joe Bardin and Andrea Cubitt. We discussed the major aspirations of transhumanism, including the focus on radical life extension and the ways in which technological advancements can solve long-standing societal problems. Dr. Bouzid approaches transhumanism skeptically but with an open mind, and he asked interesting questions that challenged the panelists and made for a dynamic, intellectually engaging conversation. I made my usual case for the imperative of pursuing technological advancements on all fronts, especially with regard to prolonging human lives, curing diseases, and solving the problem of biological aging. The recording of this conversation is now available on Dr. Bouzid’s YouTube channel as part of his show Humanity 8.0.

This Friday, November 25, 2022, tune in at 4 p.m. Pacific Time, 7 p.m. Eastern Time, for a remarkable conversation on the “Break the Rules” show, where both I and Dr. Aubrey de Grey will be on the same panel, moderated by host Lev Polyakov, who is renowned for making possible conversations that would not have occurred otherwise. Aubrey and I will, of course, be speaking about the benefits of pursuing longevity escape velocity, and I will add a bit of transhumanist philosophy into the mix. We may get a bit of critique from the other panelists, and I am happy to engage with and respond to critical arguments – but this will be a great opportunity to spread awareness of Aubrey’s work with the LEV Foundation and the science behind it – as well as key insights regarding the desirability of pursuing this vital work.

Jason Geringer has created this remastered version of my composition, Prelude #1, Op. 32.
This short work was originally composed in 2004 in the style of the preludes of the 19th-century Romantic Era, relying on dynamic contrasts to achieve the impression of escalation, followed by calm. Here it is juxtaposed with a sequence of animated historical paintings by Ivan Aivazovsky, Albert Bierstadt, Frederic Edwin Church, and Joseph Wright of Derby.

The Transhuman Club is guided by the same values and Core Ideals as the U.S. Transhumanist Party. We seek to achieve the next, greatest era of our civilization, which will require constructive solutions to the problems of our current era. All of these problems can be solved if we look away from the political trench warfare of today and up toward a far brighter future."
