Jason Geringer has created this remastered version of my composition, Prelude #1, Op. 32.
This short work was originally composed in 2004 in the style of the preludes of the 19th-century Romantic Era, relying on dynamic contrasts to achieve the impression of escalation, followed by calm. Here it is juxtaposed with a sequence of animated historical paintings by Ivan Aivazovsky, Albert Bierstadt, Frederic Edwin Church, and Joseph Wright of Derby.
